| Our family tree begins with our earliest known ancestor, Mordecai Freilicher, and the people we believe were his children -- eight altogether, six sons and two daughters. It is believed that the daughters, Shopi and Sori, remained in Russia, as did Mordecai, while his sons immigrated to the United States. Family lore has it that there may be one or possibly two additional sons of Mordecai, not shown on the chart below, who left Russia for destinations other than the United States and whose names and fates are not known to us at this time. |
